Ignotus Opening 2nd Draft

This is the second draft of our opening, some issues we adressed was the credits of the opening, making them easire to read, we also changed the music, re-arraged the clips and and tried to voice over the sound.

Film Location Ideas

For our film opening we need three different locations:
An interrogation room
A random street for the main character to be waking up on
And a room for the artefact

The random street was the first and easiest location to acquire, as we simply used east Corydon and it was filmed on a clear Saturday morning.
The reason for it being in the morning was due to the difficulty of having to use the pavement as a set and so we needed to film early in order to secure there was little people around.

The second location we used was the assembly hall in school to film the scene where the “artefact” was found.
We figured that if we were able to acquire some flashlights and have access to the assembly hall we could turn off the lights and film the scene in there.
The only problem with using this location is that we had to make sure it was not being used by other people due to the fact that we needed the entire space and we needed to have the lights turned off.
Fortunately due to the fact that we were filming during our media lesson the hall was unoccupied so there was no problem.

The final location which would be the interrogation room was difficult to think of where to use, at first we had the idea of using one of the school rooms that had a glass wall in order to look inside, however this proved to be a problem due to the school hours that we had and our ability to make it seem realistic, so in the end we decided to use sachins bedroom one Sunday afternoon and the result turned out to be a success.

Production scheduling

Production scheduling:

We met every Monday, Thursday and Friday for an hour and a half during our media lessons.
That will total to at least four and a half hours of planning, filming and editing.
We also organised to have skype meeting for one hour every Friday evening adding the time to five and a half hours a week, and also we would have production meetings every Thursday during our study period for fifty minutes.
In total that meant that we was working on our coursework for six hours and twenty minutes every week.

Film Opening Treatment
The film will show how a group of archeologists find an artifact that they have been researching for decades and have gone to look for it after tracking down the location and attempting to take it and study it further. The protagonist is part of the group of archeologists and he is with them as they discover the exact whereabouts of the artifact. The protagonist reaches out to take it but then wakes up tied to a chair with blood stains on his clothes and a bright light on his face. He is being interrogated by another man but he can’t see his face, only his shoes. He is also being forced to look at pictures of the artifact and being made to remember the events leading up to the discovery of the artifact. The majority of the film will be shown through the flashbacks the protagonist has in order to retrace his steps and find out the mysterious power the artifact holds.
